Despite the constantly increasing need for companies to adopt new methods of marketing, over 50% of SMEs throughout the UK have no online presence at all let alone an effective digital marketing strategy. As a web designer and developer, I feel it is my duty to find every single one of these companies and let them know what they’re missing out on!
Why is this so important I hear you say?
Many small business owners, particularly in customer-facing industries are content with the marketing strategies they’ve been using since they setup their company (brochures, print ads and even referrals). Whilst this does continue to work for some, pursuing a purely offline strategy is a risky one – particularly when there’s so much potential for growth online.
Making use of the internet as a business tool is absolutely essential for every company in Britain, even for more traditional B2C companies that may consider themselves as ‘offline’ entities. Hairdressers, personal trainers, electricians and any number of other tradesmen measure success the offline relationships they have with customers. What they are misunderstanding however, is that the internet can still do that! Customers looking for local service providers are now searching online more than ever before which means that as a business owner it’s your responsibility to be present there.
I understand that going to digital is often thought of as being a scary and expensive risk to take. In reality however, this couldn’t be further from the truth. I’m hear to deal with all the technical jargon so that you don’t have to and I always ensure that all of my work is fairly priced.
